We’re very excited to announce that we’ve joined a fabulous organization, Celebrating Adoption. Here’s more about it from the web site and the founder, Jenifer Samaha.

‘CA is an organization of photographers dedicated to promoting adoption. Our participating photographers are very different: some shoot with natural light while others use studio light; some prefer posing the subject while others prefer the spontaneity of lifestyle photography; but we all have one thing in common, the desire to celebrate your adoption with you!
What is a Celebrating Adoption session?
If you are an adoptive family and have adopted your child within the last year, you qualify for a Celebrating Adoption session.
You will receive a complimentary portrait session (session fee is waived) and a set of proofs.
***Our volunteers give 100% of their time, talent and goods to do this work. Please do not abuse the organization by scheduling more than one photographer per child or adoption.
How do I schedule a session?
Please contact a participating photographer in your area to discuss scheduling and locations. Each photographer schedules his or her own portrait sessions. Because of the free nature of these sessions, many photographers will need to limit their Celebrating Adoption sessions per month, so call early to plan for your session.’
Due to RWP schedule we can only offer a limited number of sessions. However, we will work to accommodate you whenever possible. If you’d like to schedule a session with us, just drop us a line or give us a call. Also, to learn more about the organization, please visit the web site by clicking the CA image below.
Also, don’t forget we’re also a member of Operation: Love Reunited. You can read more about that fantastic organization here.
It’s such an honor for us to be a member of these organizations. If you’re not in our area, be sure to check out each of the orgs’ web sites to find a participating photographer in your area!

RWP has a brand new, sleek site now, coupled with an even better splash page.
I’ve been wanting a new splash page for months now, something me, something different, but couldn’t figure out what I wanted (not to mention I’m not nearly that talented in designing things like this), but it finally all came together!
You’ll have to visit the site to see the new look, but here’s an idea of how awesome it is– the new splash page, designed by my ever so talented and generous friend, Anja (thanks soooooo much, Anja, I absolutely LOVE it!!!):

Though, to get the full effect you really MUST see it large. Just click on the image to be taken there!
In other very exciting news, I am glaucoma free. Not to say I ever had it, I haven’t. But found out today that I don’t, so something to celebrate!
More at six and ten.

We’ve just launched some new specials for the upcoming weeks. Be sure to check them out here!
We’re gearing up for the holiday season as well. So keep an eye (or two) out for holiday promotionals as well as new holiday card designs! But that’s not all… we’ll also be offering special mini sessions for families who just need to have a photo or two made for holiday greeting cards. Check back soon for availability and pricing!
We’ve got a few other things up our sleeve but they’re top secret at the moment.

You know it’s time to get out there when your lens has a spider web–and spider on it (it’s probably time to dust too!
) It’s just hard to find time when you’re so busy!
I haven’t gone out shooting for *me* in quite a while. I had intended to make it an actual commitment, but that hasn’t happened yet. I’m going to work on that this week… starting today. Baby steps and all.
I really don’t much care for day lilies. I think they’re some of the ugliest flowers ever. They’re like weeds, really. I’ve tried cutting them down, spraying Round-Up on them, everything short of tilling them up or burning them, I guess. But year after year they return– with a vengeance. So I put them to work! Here are a few shots from this evening.

So there we have it. Too, I’m going to be offering some exciting new things soon! So be sure to check back because these are going to be excellent. Also, I’ve been creating new cards and whatnot for my custom designed offerings. Will be posting them soon.
Cheers.

I know I just launched the new web site, but I have decided to change it up a bit. Still have many things to add, but it’s live and it looks pretty spiffy! Please check it out and I’d love to hear what you think! The site is now split into two seperate sections– portraiture and fine art. Lots of great things to see and a few new features. Be sure to check back often as I’ll be adding a lot of new content in the coming weeks!
RWP’s new look!
Also, the RWP Myspace has gotten a face lift. All of the sites, blogs and now ms have a reoccurring theme. Spiffy! Check us out and be sure to add us. Actually, adding the account to your friends is the only way to see the great new stuff!
Cheers,
R
